Privacy and emergency information

The LittleLink ID public profile is designed to help in an emergency. When a child is checked in, the profile can show emergency contacts linked to that child so support can be reached quickly if needed.

When emergency contacts appear
Emergency contacts are relevant when a child is currently checked in. If the child is not checked in, or has already been checked out, their details are no longer shown on the public profile.

What contact information is shown
The public profile shows emergency contacts in a limited way. It does not expose full private phone number information directly. Instead, the profile uses a call action to support contact through the platform’s protected calling setup.

The guide also indicates that public profile contact details are shown in a similar privacy-conscious format, including initials and relationship, with a single Call button.

How contacts are chosen
Emergency contacts are added in the child’s profile. When creating or editing a contact, you can choose whether that contact should show as an emergency contact.

Only contacts set up for emergency use should appear in this way.

Why this matters
This allows someone viewing the public profile to contact the right person quickly, while still protecting contact privacy and avoiding direct exposure of personal phone numbers.

Good to know
If you expected a contact to appear and it does not, check:
  • that the child is currently checked in
  • that the contact is marked as an emergency contact
  • that you are viewing the correct card and public profile.
