An approver is the person who reviews a child’s details in LittleLink ID to help confirm that the information is correct before it becomes active. Each child should have one approver.

If you have been added as an approver, you will receive an email inviting you to review the child’s details.

What happens first
When a childminder adds you as the approver for a child:
  • you receive an email asking you to review the child’s details
  • if it is your first time using LittleLink ID, you also receive an email to set your password and create your account.

Setting up your account
If you are new to LittleLink ID, follow the link in your email to set your password and sign in for the first time. The setup link is valid for 72 hours.

Once your password has been created, you can log in and access the review request.

Signing in
After account setup, sign in using your email address and password. Once logged in, you will be able to open the child review and choose what action to take.

What your role involves
As an approver, your role is to review the child’s details and decide whether to:
  • approve them
  • ask for changes
  • decline the request.

Good to know
If your email link has expired, or you did not receive the email, check the Troubleshooting for approvers guide for help.
