How auto-checkout works

LittleLink ID includes an auto-checkout feature to help prevent children from remaining visible on the public profile after the day has ended.

If a child has not been manually checked out, auto-checkout can remove them automatically later in the evening.

How auto-checkout works
When auto-checkout is enabled:

• the system can send a reminder email at 9:30pm
• if the child is still not checked out, they are automatically removed from the public profile at 10pm.

This helps make sure public information is not left visible overnight.

What auto-checkout does not replace
Auto-checkout is a backup feature. It does not replace normal daily checkout.

Where possible, children should still be checked out manually when they leave your care. Auto-checkout is there in case that step is missed.

Where auto-checkout is managed
Auto-checkout is controlled through your account settings.

If you want to check whether it is enabled or change how it is used, go to the relevant settings area in your account.

What happens to the child
When auto-checkout runs:

• the child is removed from the public profile
• they are no longer shown publicly as being in your care
• the end-of-day visibility is cleared automatically.
  

When this is useful
Auto-checkout is helpful if:

• a manual checkout is missed
• the day ends and a child is still showing as checked in
• you want an extra safeguard to avoid overnight visibility.
  

Good to know
If a child disappears from the public profile later in the evening, auto-checkout may be the reason.

If you do not want that to happen automatically, check your settings and review whether auto-checkout is enabled.
