How to move a child to another card

If your account uses more than one card, LittleLink ID allows you to move a child from one card to another.

This can be useful if:
- a child needs to be associated with a different card
- a different card is being used during the day
- you need to move a child between cards used by assistants on the account.
When you might need to move a child
You may want to move a child to another card if:
- the child was originally checked in under the wrong card
- you are switching which card is being used
- a child needs to appear under another card for the rest of the day.
How to move a child to another card
To move a child:
- Go to the dashboard page
- Find the child you want to move
- Click the 3 dot at the top right
- Select the option to move them to another card
- Click the correct card

Once this is done, the child will be linked to the newly selected card.

After the child has been moved:
This helps keep the right child information linked to the right card during the day.
Before moving a child
Before confirming the move, it is a good idea to check:
Good to know
If you only use one card, you may never need this feature.
If the card itself needs changing because it is inactive, lost, or being replaced, that is better handled in the Cards & public profile articles rather than through moving the child.
What happens after the move
After the child has been moved:
- they are associated with the new card
- their public profile visibility follows that card
- the new card becomes the one linked to that child’s checked-in status.
This helps keep the right child information linked to the right card during the day.
