When creating or updating a child’s profile in LittleLink ID, you can add important care and safeguarding information to help keep records accurate and support safer daily use. This includes:
These details are managed from the child’s profile in the Children section. You can also return later to update them if anything changes.
Allergies and important information
The Allergies & Important information area is where you can record a list of important information that should be known about the child. This is helpful for day-to-day care and can also appear on the public profile when the child is checked in.

Allergies and important information
The Allergies & Important information area is where you can record a list of important information that should be known about the child. This is helpful for day-to-day care and can also appear on the public profile when the child is checked in.
To add anything to this list, enter a word, then either click on the "Add" button, add a comma or press the "Return" key on your keyboard. This field is a list field, which means you can add multiple items in a comma separated way.
For example, this might include:
When a child is checked in, the system may show allergies and important information on the public profile in the limited view used for emergency access.
Medications
You can add medication details in the Medications section by clicking Add Medication. For each medication, the system allows you to enter:
- allergy information
- key medical notes
- other information that may be important in an emergency.
When a child is checked in, the system may show allergies and important information on the public profile in the limited view used for emergency access.
Medications
You can add medication details in the Medications section by clicking Add Medication. For each medication, the system allows you to enter:
- medication name
- dosage
- timing
- whether it is a required medication.

You can also return later to add more medications or remove them if needed from the child’s details screen.

Required medication reminders
If a medication is marked as required, LittleLink ID uses this as a reminder during check-in. The system shows a prompt to help confirm that the child has everything they need with them, such as an inhaler.
This does not replace your own checks, but it provides an extra reminder during the check-in process.
Safewords
A safeword must be added for every child. It is a required field and is for internal use only. It is not shown on the public profile.
The safeword is used during collection if the person collecting the child is not already listed in the approved pickup contacts. In that situation, the safeword can be confirmed during checkout before completing handover.
GP details
You can also store GP information in the child’s profile, including:
This keeps key care information together in one place within the child’s record.
Updating these details later
If any of these details change, go to the Children page, open the child’s Details, and update the record. You can change the child’s details, medications, and other saved information at any time.
Once updated, the changes do not go live straight away. Instead, another review request is sent so the updated details can be approved before they are applied.
