How to activate and manage your card

Your LittleLink ID card links your physical card to your digital public profile. Before you can start checking children in, your card needs to be activated. Once active, you can also view its QR code, add emergency contacts to individual cards, track scans, and manage card settings from your account.

When your card arrives
Once your card has been printed and delivered, go to Manage Cards from the left-hand menu in your account. This is where you can view your card and complete activation.
If you have more than one card, each one will appear in this section.

Step 1: Open Manage Cards
In the Manage Cards area, you will see your card listed with its current status. If the card has not yet been activated, it will show as inactive.

Select the card you want to activate.

Step 2: Enter the activation code
To activate the card, click the Activate button. You will be asked to enter the activation code that came with the card.
Once the code has been entered correctly, the card becomes active and ready to use.


Step 3: Add emergency contacts to card
After activation, you can see a message saying "Emergency contacts missing for this card", to fix this you can either click on the message or the "View details" button


You will see a section for emergency contacts. Click on the "Add Emergency Contact" button to add a contact to your card. The emergency contacts for the card will appear on the public profile the same privacy-friendly way as the children.

Step 4: Start using the card
After activation, you can begin using the card with LittleLink ID. This is important because children cannot be checked in until there is at least one active card on the account.

When someone scans the QR code or taps the NFC chip on the card, they are taken to your public profile.

Viewing card details
Once a card is active, you can click View Details to see more information about it. From here, you can access:
  • the QR code linked to the card
  • scan history
  • emergency contacts

This helps you keep track of how the card is being used and which profile it is linked to.

Managing multiple cards
If you have assistants or more than one card, LittleLink ID allows you to manage multiple cards from the same area. Each card can be assigned and used within your account.

You can also move a child between cards later if needed during daily use.

Deactivating or reactivating a card
If needed, you can deactivate a card from the card details area. This may be useful if a card is temporarily not in use. You can also reactivate a card later from the same section.

Replacing a lost or damaged card

If a card is lost or needs replacing, go to Manage Cards, deactivate the card and select Order a replacement. You will be guided through the replacement process there.
Troubleshooting card issues
If you are unable to check children in, first check that:
  • your card has been activated
  • the activation code was entered correctly
  • the correct card is selected
  • your card is showing as active in Manage Cards.

If your card has not arrived yet, you may need to wait until delivery before activation can be completed.
