Auto-checkout removed a child from the public profile

LittleLink ID includes an auto-checkout feature to help prevent children from remaining visible on the public profile overnight. If a child was not manually checked out, the system can remove them automatically later in the evening.

Why this happens
When auto-checkout is enabled:
  • a reminder email can be sent at 9:30pm
  • if the child is still not checked out, they are automatically removed from the public profile at 10pm.

This is designed to stop child information remaining visible overnight.

What it means
If a child has disappeared from the public profile in the evening, it does not necessarily mean there is a problem with the child record or the card. It may simply mean auto-checkout has run as expected.

What to check
If this happens, check:
  • whether the child was manually checked out earlier
  • whether auto-checkout is enabled in your settings
  • whether a reminder email was sent first.

Where to manage auto-checkout
Auto-checkout is controlled through your account settings. If you do not want children to be removed automatically in this way, review the relevant setting in your account.

Good to know
Auto-checkout is a backup feature. It does not replace normal checkout.

Where possible, children should still be checked out manually when they leave your care. Auto-checkout is simply there in case that step is missed.
