My card is not active

Your LittleLink ID card must be activated before it can be used. If the card is still inactive, children cannot be checked in and the card will not be ready for normal daily use.

What to check first
Start by going to Manage Cards from the left-hand menu. In this area, you can see your card and its current status. If the card has not been activated yet, it will show as inactive.
How to activate your card
To activate your card:
  1. Go to Manage Cards
  2. Select the card you want to use
  3. Click Activate
  4. Enter the activation code from the back of your card.
Once the code has been entered correctly, the card becomes active and ready to use.

If you cannot see the Activate option
If you do not see the Activate option, check:
  • whether the card has already been activated
  • whether you are looking at the correct card
  • whether your card has been fully added to your account.

If you have more than one card, make sure you are opening the correct one in Manage Cards.

If the activation code does not work
If the activation code is not accepted:
  • double-check that it has been entered exactly as provided
  • make sure you are using the code that came with that specific card
  • try again carefully in case of a typing mistake.

If the problem continues, you may need support to confirm the code linked to your card.

If your card has not arrived yet
You will only be able to activate the card once it has been delivered and you have the activation code that came with it. If your onboarding has been approved but your card has not arrived yet, you may need to wait for delivery before activation can be completed.

Why activation matters
Card activation is required before children can be checked in. If your card is inactive, the check-in option will not work as expected.

Once the card is active, you can also open View Details to access:
  • the QR code
  • scan history
  • emergency contacts

Good to know
If your card is active but you still cannot check a child in, the issue may be related to the child not yet being approved or another setup step not being complete.
